How to Change Homepage to Yahoo?

If you use Yahoo! a lot, you may want to change your browser home page to the Yahoo! site. This will allow you to easily access Yahoo! services whenever you start your browser. The process varies depending on the browser that you use.

Click the Chrome Menu button (☰) and select Settings. This will open your Chrome settings in a new tab.
Check the “Show Home button” box. You’ll find this in the “Appearance” section. The Home button will appear to the left of your address bar.
Click the “Change” link that appears beneath the box. This will let you set the page that opens when you click the Home button.

Make Yahoo Your Homepage

Select “Open this page” and enter the Yahoo! page you want to start on. Enter the Yahoo! address that you want to set as your home page:

  • Yahoo! Search: www.yahoo.com
  • Yahoo! Mail: mail.yahoo.com
  • Yahoo! News: news.yahoo.com
  • Yahoo! Shopping: shopping.yahoo.com

Select “Open a specific page or set of pages” in the “On startup” section. This will allow you to set Chrome to load Yahoo! whenever you start it for the first time.

Click the “Set pages” link. You’ll be able to enter addresses to open when Chrome starts. Each address you enter will start in a separate tab.

Enter in the Yahoo! pages you want to load when Chrome starts. These pages will load whenever Chrome starts for the first time.

Click the Tools menu or the Gear button and select “Internet options. If you don’t see the Tools menu, press Alt.

Enter the Yahoo! address that you want to set into the “Home page” field. You should see this at the top of the “General” tab. You can enter more addresses, each on their own line. Additional addresses will open in separate tabs.

Ensure that “Start with home page” is selected. You’ll find this in the “Startup” section of the “General” tab. This will make your Yahoo! page(s) open whenever Internet Explorer starts.

Click “OK” to save your changes. Your new home page will be set, and Yahoo! will load whenever Internet Explorer starts.

Click the Firefox Menu button (☰) and select options. Your Firefox settings will open in a new tab.

Click the “Home Page” field” and enter the Yahoo! page you want. By default, Firefox will load whatever address is in the Home Page field when you start it.

Learn how to set your own custom homepage in the Comodo IceDragon web browser. The browser is based on the Mozilla Firefox browser, so the steps are extremely similar. It’s easy to have your browser open up your own homepage. Just follow the steps below.


Step 1: Open Comodo IceDragon and Click the Settings Icon

After you open your web browser, look for an icon in the upper right corner that looks like three horizontal lines. Click on that icon to reveal an options menu that contains several icons.

Step 2: Select the Options Icon

Once the settings menu shows up, look for the Options menu item. Click on Options to get access to settings for your browser. This is where you will be setting your homepage.

Step 3: Update Homepage Settings

After you click on the Options icon, you’ll see an options tab open up. You’ll be at the “General” section. In this section, you’ll see an area that describes how Comodo IceDragon will behave when it starts. Make sure that “When IceDragon starts” is set to “Show my home page”. Underneath that section, there is a section labeled “Home Page”. This is where you will type in your homepage URL.

Step 4: Type in Your Homepage Url

In the “Home page” section, type in your homepage URL. In our example, we are using our URL from Homepage Ninja.

Step 5: Close Your Comodo IceDragon Browser and Open It Up Again

Once your homepage has been set, close your browser and re-open it. The website/homepage you entered in the last step should open up when you open Comodo IceDragon. Now you are done setting up your browser to show your own homepage every time you open it.

How to set homepage in Slimjet Browser?

Learn how to set your startup page for your Slimjet Browser. Slimjet is based on the Google Chrome browser, so the steps are very similar to that browser.


Step 1: Open Slimjet Browser and Click on the Settings Icon

Open your Slimjet browser and look for an icon that looks like gears. It is in the top right corner of the browser window. When you click on the icon, a long menu should be displayed.

Step 2: Select the Settings Option in the Drop Down Menu

After the options menu opens, look for the Settings option towards the end of the menu. Click on “Settings” and you’ll be taken to the settings page.

Step 3: Choose How You Want Your Browser To Startup

In the settings page, there is a section where you can change your startup pages. This is where you will set your homepage URL. You want to open a specific page when your browser opens. Click on “Set Pages” to set your homepage.

Step 4: Enter Your Homepage Url

You can enter multiple startup pages. These pages will open up in different tabs when you open your browser. Choose the option to add a new page and then type in your homepage URL. When you are done, click on the OK button.

Step 5: Open A Specific Page On Startup

Confirm that you have the correct option selected for startup. It should be set to open a specific page or set of pages.

Step 6: Close the Slimjet Browser and Open it Again

Close your Slimjet browser, then open it up again. This is to test that your homepage was set properly. If everything was done correctly, you should see the homepage or homepages you set earlier. In our example we are using our homepage on the Homepage Ninja website.
